No power for eight days or more. Severe beach erosion and coastal flooding. The eye made landfall in Long Island, NY, North Carolina and Connecticut. Winds from 75-145 mph. Low tides. 7-9 inches of rain. Neighborhood committees helped with the recovery of floods. Mudslides.	Stores closed, causing jobs to be closed. $900 million in damages No school Power lines down In Scranton, Pennsylvania they only got $216,000 from the state and federal government for damages. Mudslides and flooding on roads keeping people from getting to work.	8 deaths 380,000 people forced to evacuate Personal belongings lost, and spirits shattered. Not everyone was willing to leave their homes.
